[ She's on the breakfast shift now. Expect Vegemite, thick slabs of bacon, fried tomatoes, and muesli. Also a somewhat eerie blank expression - work like this is really good for letting her turn off her mind. ]

I don't know if anyone was caught in the explosion. Or if the people around were OK.

[He pauses to consider how much to say to her. He's paired down his story for most people he talks to. She doesn't quite seem like most people.] His collection. Never could tell what his standards are. Some people he just tortured to death. Others, like me, he'd run through his little maze of death traps to see what would happen. I'd guess you'd call them tests.

All I know is the ones he liked, he cut up while they were still breathing and put them back together with extra arms and legs. He kept 'em alive like that.

The people he didn't like he drugged up until nothing was left. Turned 'em into animals.

Nobody escaped him until I did. Don't think he likes me much anymore.

{ Her voice is firm, and so is her judgment. She'd kill someone like that, and she wouldn't regret it. ]

Yeah. He's harder to kill than most people. Already faked his own death. Almost got him twice. I'm not taking any chances on the third.

[ He sounds like Lee, in that moment. That recklessness - that need for revenge. I'm going to attack the airfield. Look where that got them. ]
